Description
Two exceptional concerts will take place on July 1 and 3 at 9pm, at the Eglise Ste Thérèse in Montpellier, and will bring together talented artists, all volunteers for this ephemeral project: Soloists from the Opéra or Êkhô chamber choir: Véronique Parize, soprano, Eun Young Jung, alto, Gabriel Rixte, tenor and Xin Wang, bass.
Instrumentalists : Sébastien Mazoyer, accordion, and Hyun Chan Kye, piano.
4 choirmasters sharing the direction: Stefano Bernabovi, Franck Fontcouberte, Patrick Marco and Caroline Semont-Gaulon.
For the occasion, a choir of around 100 singers, "Les 100 voix pour l?Europe", has been formed in a spirit of unity, drawn from several choirs in the region.
IMPORTANT: All proceeds from the event will help finance the hosting of the European Youth Choir, 44 choristers aged 18 to 30 from 18 different European countries, selected by audition and hosted in residence at the Cité des Arts from August 9 to 21.
The European Youth Choir project is led by Ekhô Choeur de Chambre and Caroline Semont-Gaulon.
