Built on the outskirts of Montpellier for Professor Henri Haguenot, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the 18th-century Hôtel Haguenot was designed by Jean-Antoine Giral, future architect of the Place Royale du Peyrou, who also laid out the gardens.
Stroll through the Italian-inspired terraced gardens, now home to a variety of bay trees (rose, sauce, cherry), fruit and citrus trees, succulents and flowers, as well as pottery and stone vases.
The sculpted decor features an Italian-style fountain and a Baroque grotto.
