Detailed program for Design and Architecture courses for 7-13 year olds from July 06 to 10 and July 13 to 17, 2026
week 1 (06/07 to 10/07)
Morning (9am-12pm): "The Fold in the 4 fields of design"
Exploration of the fold as a design principle in textile, graphic, architectural and furniture design
Activities: drawing, mock-up, prototyping
Speaker : Hélène RALLO (teaching artist, founder of Enfants Designers)
Afternoon (2pm-5pm): "Matter, earth and architecture"
Discover the material earth to imagine and build a house, then a collective model city
Practice architectural drawing, notion of scale, project communication
Speaker : Alexandre VARET (architect specialized in earth construction)
week 2 (07/13 to 07/17)
Morning (9am-12pm): "Mega playground"
Children become designers of play spaces, imagining the city as a playground
Activities: drawing, model-building, collective project communication
Speaker: Zakaria VIAL (architect and designer of playful spaces)
Afternoon (2pm-5pm): "Geometry in space"
A fun way to learn about geometry in space, through drawing and making
Construction of a large-scale geodesic dome
Speaker : Jaafar FANCHI (architect D.E., president of U-Lab)
