Description
As part of the Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier
An unclassifiable artist who has worked with Jewish tradition as well as Americana, electro and contemporary music, Yom was destined to cross paths one day with brothers Théo and Valentin Ceccaldi, free electrons never short of musical madness.
It was artistic love at first sight, and the clarinettist soon recognized in them the ideal partners to realize his vision of the "rhythm of silence", an expression heard in the mouth of a Sufi master to define meditation.
Chamber-like in its attention to textures and dynamics, oriental in its melodic melismas, juggling minimalist purity with almost rock intensity, the music unfolds in a long, uninterrupted suite, like a powerful healing ritual soothing both body and soul.
